Inflammation is a protective mechanism, not the problem. Physical exercise, injuries, certain illnesses and the passing of time put your tissues under stress. Inflammation is a protective response that aims to clear damaged cells and start the repair process.
The resolution process has a name: SPM. Specialized Pro-Resolving Mediators (SPM) are molecules the body produces naturally from omega 3 fatty acids. Their role is to actively resolve inflammation, restoring balance without suppressing the immune response.

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) work by reducing or blocking the inflammatory response in order to relieve symptoms.
